• Professor Chang is a world authority on biological psychiatry and nuropsychopjarmacology.  He is famous for his studies on haloperidol and dopamine theory on subtyping of schizophrenia. 

• Professor Chang is one of the pioneers of biological psychiatry in Taiwan.  His major contribution is not only on the outstanding scientific achievements，  but also on education.   Many active Taiwanes biologic psychiatrists， Professor Hsien-Yuan Lane for example， are Professor Chang's students. 

• Professor Chang is an important figure in the history of Taiwanese psychiatry， his biography (written by Dr. Erin Wu) will be published recently.
